summer of fixing

It's been a little while since I have found the time to post.  But we haven't been sitting around; we have been busy clearing to make way for summer fun.  And this summer is hereby declared the summer of fixing and making.  We have a list, now gracing the refrigerator, that is growing, but more importantly things are getting crossed off!  And not with a grimace, but with glee.  We spent last Saturday fixing irrigation, fixing a doorknob (that sadly took over a month to get the job done), and clearing more junk out of our workshop space.  What a great feeling.  And my kids are getting into the act as well, helping to replace the broken strut on the car tailgate.  They too are learning the joys of fixing our own stuff.

county fair
